Ripple Unveils Global Expansion Strategy: Details
Ripple, as a leader in blockchain projects, has launched its global expansion strategy in Asia. Analysts pointed out that Ripple has taken two important strategic steps in just the last month. Ripple’s first step was to work with Azimo to provide faster and cheaper payments in the Philippines.
For this, liquid demand technology was used, that is, Ripple ODL. Commenting on this, Ripple vice president of customer service at Ripple emphasized that it is extremely important to work with companies that share the same views and desire to change the way money moves around the world today. Azimo money transfer platform has more than a million customers who can send money to more than 200 countries.
Ripple’s second strategic step is to add South Korean startups Sentbe, Hanpass and WireBarley to RippleNet. Eric Van Miltenberg, Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Business Development at Ripple, indicated that the Asia-Pacific region has always been a key region for Ripple.
Ripple continues to attract new financial institutions and partners at RippleNet. Nearly half of Ripple’s customers are based in APAC, and momentum continues to grow in the region. According to analysts, these are just two of the many expansion plans that Ripple plans to implement during 2020.
